A dispatch from Tokyo, and news on the Alaska Peninsula.
Perhaps we should set our sights just a bit lower than another "Mega Project" that is easy to promise yet will take decades to realize. Regarding Alaska Natural Gas projects which might be realized sooner any updates on the production of fertilizer, "gas by wire" for electrical generation nearer to the slope, or perhaps "blue ammonia" production from natural gas in Alaska?
Congrats on the new project. It was fun to read
Glad you've launched your publication. Good luck!

Great write-up: welcome to substack, Nat! I'm liking this growing platform and its tools. Thanks for adding your thoughtful reporting.
Nat: Good luck on this new venture. I think the Alaska LNG cost estimate is a few years old and that a new estimate would be several billion higher. And why are the oil companies not involved? They have better projects elsewhere?
